Membership

Any male or female over the age of 8 can apply for membership. Just fill in the Application Form and return it with the fees and photograph in jpeg format to the Secretariat.

(For Ordinary Membership only) The Application Form should be proposed and seconded by two Full members of the Club.

Ordinary Membership is divided into the following categories:

Full Member: If you are over 18 years of age and wish to race.

Associate Member: If you are interested in Karting but do not intend to race.

Junior Member: If you are over 11 but less than 18 years of age. However, your parent or guardian must be a Full or Associate member of the Club.

Mini Member: If you are over 8 but less than 11 years of age. However, your parent or guardian must be a Full or Associate member of the Club.

Overseas Member: If you are residing outside Hong Kong, but interested in the Club’s activities including racing.

** Annual subscription expires on the last day of the year irrespective of the date that you join.  If you join the Club between July 1st and December 31st you may pay half-yearly subscription.

Competition Licence:

After being a member you are eligible to apply for a Competition Licence without which you are not permitted to race.  In the beginning you will be issued a Restricted Licence and you gain signatures whenever you are a finisher of the Final race of the day. You will gradually move on from one class to the other higher class. The Class system will vary according to the rules laid down by the General Committee of HKKC and CIK-FIA.  Once you are upgraded to the International Class you may take part in international competitions.

You are required to have a Medical check-up and your examining doctor endorses the prescribed Medical Form.

Community Members :
If you live in Hong Kong, and wish to participate in all activities of the Club including the driving of karts in local or community level competitive events but not any national (or more advanced level) competitive events.
