Membership & About Karting 會籍及小型賽車介紹 Membership
Any male or female over the age of 8 can apply for membership. Just fill in the Application Form, proposed and seconded by two Full members of the Club and return it with the fees and 4 photographs to the Secretariat.
Membership is divided into the following categories:
Full Member: If you are over 16 years of age and wish to race.
Associate Member: If you are interested in Karting but do not intend to race.
Junior Member: If you are over 11 but less than 16 years of age. However, your parent or guardian must be a Full or Associate member of the Club.
Mini Member: If you are over 8 but less than 11 years of age. However, your parent or guardian must be a Full or Associate member of the Club.
Overseas Member: If you are residing outside Hong Kong, but interested in the Club’s activities including racing.
** Annual subscription expires on the last day of the year irrespective of the date that you join. If you join the Club between July 1st and December 31st you may pay half-yearly subscription.
Competition Licence:
After being a member you are eligible to apply for a Competition Licence without which you are not permitted to race. In the beginning you will be issued a Restricted Licence and you gain signatures whenever you are a finisher of the Final race of the day. You will gradually move on from one class to the other higher class. The Class system will vary according to the rules laid down by the Club Committee of Hong Kong Kart Club and C.I.K. Once you are upgraded to the International Class you may take part in international competitions.
Medical Form:
You are required to have a Medical check-up and your examining doctor endorses the prescribed Medical Form.

要參加小型賽車運動, 首先就要加入香港小型賽車會. 任何人士, 不分男女, 年齡滿八歲者, 皆可申請入會. 填妥申請入會表格, 另要兩名基本會員推薦簽名, 填妥後連同入會費及近照4張寄交該會秘書處便可.
會員種類如下:
基本會員: 年齡十六歲以上及有意參加比賽者。
贊助會員: 對賽車有興趣而無意參加比賽者。
青少年會員: 年齡由十一歲至十六歲者, 父母或監護人須為本會之基本會員或贊助會員。
小童會員: 年齡由八歲至十一歲者, 父母或監護人須為本會之基本會員或贊助會員。
海外會員: 有興趣本會活動的海外朋友, 可以加入本會成為海外會員。海外會員如到港旅遊可以享受本會的一切權利, 包括參加賽車比賽。
** 每年會費由一月一日起到同年十二月三十一日止。如閣下在七月至十二月期間加入本會, 則只需繳交半年年費。
比賽執照:
會員入會後如欲參加比賽, 必須向香港小型賽車會申請比賽執照。如會員未有駕駛小型賽車經驗者, 會方只允發給限制性執照。每次賽事中, 你只要完成當日的決賽便可以得到一個簽名, 在得到若干簽名後, 會方會簽發不同等級之比賽執照。於積聚多次經驗後, 你可再申請國際比賽執照, 持有國際執照, 可參加在本港或海外舉行之國際小型賽車賽事。
醫療證明書:
為保證你的體格正常而且適合作賽車比賽, 你要前往一位註冊醫生處作全身檢查, 該醫生便會為你簽署一份醫療證明書。

Introduction of Karting
When you race a kart you are motor racing. The F.I.A. is the body which controls the whole of motor sport throughout the world. It appoints one organization in each country to look after events within its boundaries. The Hong Kong Kart Club Ltd. is delegated with the authority to control and administer Karting in Karting is not as dangerous a sport as you might think. Involving in karting you can realize three things: firstly, the exhilaration but possible danger of speeding; secondly, the knowledge of road safety and proper driving behaviour and lastly but not the least, the younger generation should be educated at an early stage so as to constitute being a good road user. We strive to nurture them with the correct knowledge and skill so that the youngsters can have the right concept in using and driving on public roads when they grow up. In addition, through them the same message can be passed on to their friends, fellow schoolmates and even their seniors who may not have the opportunities in receiving such training. 小型賽車簡介
小型賽車是賽車運動的一種。賽車運動的舉行是受到管制的。目前許多國家都設立賽車會，而世界各國的賽車會都受到世界賽車聯會 (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile 簡稱FIA)管轄。香港小型賽車會就是獲得授權控制及管理本港之小型賽車活動。 小型賽車運動的危險性並非你所想像中那麼高，參與小型賽車，你可以領悟到以下三項事情：(一) 認識開快車的危險性；(二) 認識道路安全及駕駛行為；(三) 認同青少年應在年輕時培養成為良好的道路使用者。我們致力教育下一代認識正確的安全知識和技巧，好讓他們成長後，能於公共道路上正確地使用道路設施及駕駛。而且，他們能將所學到的傳遞給暫未有機會接受訓練的朋輩、同學、甚至長輩。 Flag
旗號介紹
旗號乃賽車運動必經的第一課，無論車手駕駛技術有多卓越，都必須對旗號有一定認識，旗號相等於車手與工作人員之間的共通語言，賽道上必須用旗號溝通。以下的旗號介紹可加深各位對旗號的認識。
國旗 / 區旗 比賽開始。 NATIONAL / REGIONAL Start of race or time trial.
黑白格子旗 比賽或試車之終結。 BLACK & WHITE End of race or practice session.
綠旗 跑道暢通，可以前進。 GREEN Track is clear, proceed.
綠底黃色人字旗 慢車，重新列隊，比賽重新開始。 GREEN WITH YELLOW CHEVRON False Start: Slow down. Revert to original grid positions. Continue rolling lap.
白旗 大會車輛，救護車或慢行車正在跑道上，注意。 WHITE An official car or a slow moving vehicle is on the track. Be careful.
紅黃直條旗 前面路面滑溜。 YELLOW WITH RED STRIPES Track surface ahead is dangerously slippery.
黃旗 不動時表示危險，慢車，不得爬頭。搖動時表示非常危險，準備停車，不得爬頭。 YELLOW Stationary: Danger, slow down, no overtaking. Waved: Great danger, be prepared to stop. No overtaking.
藍旗 不動時表示另一車手正緊跟在後。搖動表示另一車手準備爬你頭。如在起止線搖動表示你已落後一圈，你須讓路予後來者。 BLUE Stationary: A driver is following you closely. Waved: A drive is trying to overtake you. Waved at Start/Finish Line: You are being lapped. Give way.
紅旗 在起點終點線發出。緊急事件，請準備隨時停車，如無特別指示，則以最慢速度駛回起點。 RED At Start/Finish Line: Grave emergency, proceed at very slow speed to Start/Finish Line and be prepared to stop at any point if instructed.
黑白對角旗連號碼 對該號碼車子的駕駛員之可疑行為作最後警告，再犯將被停賽。 BLACK & WHITE SPLIT DIAGONALLY DISPLAYED WITH A NUMBER Last warning to driver of the kart bearing that number that his behavior is suspicious and may be black flagged on further report.
黑底橙黃色圈旗連號碼 由於機件故障，該號碼之車須回維修站，修理後可繼續比賽。 BLACK WITH Kart bearing that number is to enter the pits because of mechanical or other defects. May continue after repairs.
黑旗連號碼 該號碼車子之駕駛員須馬上將車駛回維修站，然向大會司令 (C of C) 報到。 BLACK DISPLAYED WITH A NUMBER The kart bearing that number is to enter the pits and driver to report immediately to clerk of course (C of C). Equipment 車手裝備 Personal Protection All racing suits, gloves, boots must be made by a C.I.K. approved manufacturer. Crash helmet specially manufactured for racing with full temple protection is compulsory. Helmets must be approved for racing use. Before buying any new equipment you are advised to check with the Club which standards are acceptable. 賽車服裝 所有賽車套裝, 手套及靴必須由C.I.K.所批的廠商製造。賽車用之頭盔必須全面覆蓋頭部及面部, 並要符合C.I.K.所訂之規格才可使用。在選購裝備之前, 歡迎向車會查詢各符合規格之用品詳情。 Karts and Engines Karts and Engines can be purchased second-hand with prices starting from HK$20,000 and upward for a set. Kart with 125cc Engine may cost up to HK$40,000. For more information, you can talk to the drivers, team managers or inquire from the Club. 選購賽車問題 參加者初期應選購二手賽車, 免致浪費。二手車價大約由港幣二萬元起。一部A級一百二十五cc引擎新賽車大約港幣四萬元左右。 Recommendation Do not rush into this sport with too little preparation. If you do, you may quickly tire of minor setbacks and never enjoy the real fun of Karting. Go and attend one of the Race Meetings. Look over the types of equipment in the pits, study them in action and talk to the owners or drivers. Most karters will be happy to discuss the merits of various products and give you their valuable experience. 賽會提議 小型賽車種類繁多, 新參加者選擇車架時應詳細考慮其設計及機件性能, 否則一經購入, 未符理想, 興趣迅即索然。本會更希望有興趣參加者親臨比賽參觀, 更可與在場車手交換心得, 體會一下小型賽車之樂趣！
